Cairo Arrival
Thursday, 29 July 2027 Arrive at Cairo Airport, where you’ll be met and assisted, then transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.
Giza Pyramids & the Grand Egyptian Museum
Friday, 30 July 2027 Pickup around 8 AM. Visit Giza, including the Great Pyramid, the Sphinx, the Valley Temple, the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, and a noble’s tomb. Lunch at the 9 Pyramids Lounge. Visit the Grand Egyptian Museum — its 12 exhibition halls, main galleries, Grand Hall, Grand Staircase, and gardens hold one of the largest collections covering Ancient Egypt’s history. Tour runs 7–8 hours; dress code is normal.
Optional (notify us in advance): entry inside the Great Pyramid · camel ride · walking tour of El Muizz Street and Khan El-Khalili.
Fly to Luxor: Valley of the Kings
Saturday, 31 July 2027 Early morning flight to Luxor (around 6:30–7:30 AM); you’ll be met, assisted, and transferred to your hotel. Visit the Valley of the Kings — your guide leads you to three of the more than ten currently open tombs — followed by the Temple of Hatshepsut and a stop at the Colossi of Memnon. Lunch included. Tour runs 6–7 hours. Overnight in Luxor.
Karnak & Luxor Temple, then Board the Dahabiya
Sunday, 1 August 2027 Optional (6 AM pickup, 4–5 hours, normal dress code): Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. We then drive about an hour from Luxor to Esna to check into the Dahabiya, sailing from Esna toward Edfu. Lunch and dinner served on board.
Solar Eclipse Day
Monday, 2 August 2027 An early morning visit to the Temple of Horus, then we sail to a quiet, well-positioned spot near Edfu to witness the total solar eclipse. Dinner and free time follow as we sail on, with overnight aboard.
Bisaw Island & El Selsela Quarry
Tuesday, 3 August 2027 Breakfast on board. Visit Bisaw Island and village, join local fishermen on the Nile, and walk through farms meeting villagers. Sail to El Selsela’s ancient sandstone quarry and shrines. Lunch, then continue sailing into a special barbeque dinner by moonlight.
Kom Ombo & On to Aswan
Wednesday, 4 August 2027 Breakfast on board. Visit the Temple of Kom Ombo and the Crocodile Museum. As we sail closer to Aswan, there’s an opportunity to swim or kayak. A farewell dinner closes out our final stretch of sailing into Aswan.
Philae Temple & Departure
Thursday, 5 August 2027 Breakfast on board, then check out of the Dahabiya. Visit Philae Temple, followed by lunch. Tour runs 3–4 hours; dress code is normal.
Optional (requires an extra night, 8–9 hours): an early drive to Abu Simbel (3 hours each way) to visit the temples of Ramses II and Nefertari, with lunch included. Round-trip flights between Aswan and Abu Simbel are occasionally available as an upgrade.
Transfer to Aswan Airport for your flight to Cairo, then onward for your international flight home. End of services.
